This is officially called
the Noah's Ark Group but is usually known by the children as the Hokey Cokey
Club, as sessions always finish by dancing the Hokey Cokey. We charge £2.00 for an adult
and child and 50p for an extra adult or child over 6 months. We have to hire
the hall and the charge helps us to cover expenses and new equipment. The group meets on Friday
Morning from 9.30 to 11.30. and is open to all parents/carers with under
5's.There are no meetings during school holidays. There is a craft/art
activity each week, a role play area, large soft play blocks, activities to
develop large and fine motor skills and imagination. Parents and other adults
interact with the children to develop social, emotional and language skills.
Number rhymes and jigsaws etc help with the development of number and
language skills. Adults have a mug of coffee
or tea with biscuits and at 10.30 the children have a snack, seated at
tables. This consists of a variety of fruits (each week we have apple, kiwi,
grapes, bananas with strawberries or melon etc in season) and a drink and
biscuit. The session ends with Music
time when the children can sing rhymes and do the actions which go with them,
or play percussion instruments. Any age can join in this activity with
parental help, from babies to 4 year olds. For more information contact
